STEP 2
Register your application

Register your application with Azure AD to allow your application to access the Power BI REST APIs and to set resource permissions for your application. You can change this later in the Microsoft Azure portal. Learn more

Application Name

Enter a display name to identify your application in Azure

Select the APIs and the level of access your application needs. You can change these settings later in the Azure portal.

STEP 3
Create a workspace

To add content to your application, you’ll need to create a workspace in Power BI. You can manage your workspace in the Power BI service. If you already have a workspace, you can skip this step. Learn more

STEP 4
Import content

To download a pre-configured sample application, or to import data and start embedding, you need to go back to Step 3 and create a workspace. To start embedding using content from an existing workspace, you can skip this step.

To embed Power BI content in your application, you can use a sample report to get started, or upload your own .pbix file. Learn more

STEP 5
Grant permissions

Grant permissions for your application to access the selected APIs with the signed in account.
